Another way is possible: Nicaragua, ALBA and regional integration.
The Nicaragua Solidarity Campaign are holding a public meeting on the 16th September at 6.30.
The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA) is a socialist political and economic bloc of 11 Latin American and Caribbean countries who believe that integration is essential to overcoming poverty, inequality and social exclusion.
ALBA is based on the fundamental principles of solidarity, complementary trade and respect for national and regional sovereignty. Trade is a tool to fight poverty rather than the enrichment of powerful countries at the expense of impoverished ones.
But in this world driven by transnational companies and neoliberal greed, how is it possible to put these principles into practice?
Join us and find out!
