An article that reminds us why we need unions. One-in-eight people have experienced violence at work, according to research published by the TUC today. The poll, carried out by YouGov reveals that 12% of people have experienced work-related violence, including being pushed, punched and stabbed.
Unions need to support those workers who are experiencing abuse and work with employers to stamp out violence in the workplace. The Trade Union Bill if passed will make it harder for reps to support members and carryout their roles within the workplace.
