NHS Bursary

Ask your MP to sign the Early Day Motion for the NHS Bursary.

In his autumn statement, Chancellor George Osborne announced the scrapping of the NHS bursary in England for new student nurses, midwives and allied health professionals from 2017.

The NHS bursary system will be replaced with the standard undergraduate system, with fees of up to £9,000 and a much larger student loan for maintenance. This will mean our students will end up with over £50 000 pounds worth of debt.
